Tour to Concentration Camp Auschwitz-Birkenau (5 h)
In southern part of Poland, 60km from Krakow, near the town Oswiecim is located the Auschwitz Museum, which is listed as a UNESCO cultural heritage.
The biggest Concentration Camp in the world existed during the Second World War (1940-1945). During this time in the came were burned in the crematoriums and murdered some 1.5 million people, most of whom were Jews.
Today the museum consists of two parts: Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II Birkenau. On the territory of the first part there are the barracks where the prisoners lived, and where was the administration of the camp. Auschwitz I was not destroyed during and after the war.
You can also see the crematorium and the personal belongings of prisoners.
In the Auschwitz II Birkenau you can clearly see the conditions in which prisoners lived.
The entire tour of the museum lasts approx. 3 hours.
Children under 13 years are not advisable to visit the museum.
The Museum can be visited independently, without a guide.
